While the original Waco Farmers Market is the one above, Waco now has a new farmers market on Wednesday evenings. It’s called the Bridge Street Farmers Market, and if you are lucky enough to be in town on a Wednesday night, be sure to stop by at 200 E Bridge St., Waco, TX 76704, between 5 and 8 PM. This market has more activities and a few different vendors and contributes to a positive revitalization of the Elm Street area.
Waco Suspension Bridge

Lake Waco Wetlands
When I think of Waco, I don’t think of the wetlands, and that’s because this place is a bit outside of town but worth the drive. It is technically located in China Spring at 1752 Eichelberger Crossing Road., China Spring, TX 76633. Growing up, I visited here with friends a few times, many of which were to take fantastic pictures. It’s truly a hidden gem in Waco. In 2000, the Waco City Council approved a seven-foot elevation increase for Lake Waco, resulting in an extra 20,000 acre-feet of water. Because of the increased lake level, the wetlands became the solution to mitigate habitat loss caused by the new heightened lake level. Many organisms thrive out here; you will see much wildlife if you are quiet.
