Waco’s a True Beauty
In case you didn’t already know, Waco is a beautiful city. Sure, the town is full of plenty of banks, restaurants, and churches, but it has a special magic to it when it comes to nature. The city is large, but it’s also tiny. It has a downtown, but it’s not giant. It has a smooth highway, but many ways exist to dodge it. The point is, when you look beyond the surface, Waco shines even brighter.
Sunset Spots in Waco
From scenic landscape spots to rooftops, there is always a seat for you to watch the sunset glow over the city of Waco. We have beautiful parks, rivers, a lake, and campus gems to relax and unwind to enjoy nature. Additionally, few people venture out to watch the sunset in Waco, so it’s always easy to find a nice private place to watch the sunset.
Lovers Leap
The river will glow, and the trees will have the most beautiful tint highlighting them if you visit Lovers Leap at sunset. Here, some people hang out, maybe with their loved ones or a group of college friends having a picnic. It’s also a place with historical significance, so you may see tourists visiting and hearing the tale of Lovers Leap.
Baylor University Campus
Having gone to Baylor, I spent much time exploring campus, and as a local, I’ve spent even more time on campus. Baylor is a lovely campus full of historic trees and many new structures. One not-so-new form, which, according to Google, is officially named “Dutton Avenue Office and Parking Facility.” I know it as “the spot,” but this parking garage at Baylor is one of the best places to see the sunset. The views are immaculate, and parking has historically been free after 5:00. Sitting on a campus parking garage to watch the evening sounds funny, but you must trust me.
McLennan Community College Campus
Arriving on campus at McLennan Community College (MCC), you will find numerous giant trees. This is your great welcome to the site; you will know you’ve arrived. While I do not necessarily have a favorite spot to watch the Waco sunset at MCC, I can tell you one good one. A large parking lot is beside the science building, and the sun sets nicely here. Park your car and walk around (no reserved parking after 5:00). School is full of many learning lessons, including how to take time off to relax.
